Sunken Ships In Lake Huron
Author: Jingrong Yang
Translated by XinYue
All of unmooring are glamorous start
All of sink are majestically called before the curtain
Through the crystal water that the vast of glacier has left
Over tens of sunken vessels, big and small, are seen clearly
Like a stately castle and a distant village
A castle and a village are the homes of voyagers’ souls
There is no more permeating heavy fog at night and submerged reefs
There is no more raging storms in lighting and dangerous reefs

On the observation platform, the caption’s figure is still in vision
A rusty compass is remaining to point to the south
There is no more smoke from towering chimney behind the mast
Only lithe bubbles loom faintly from time to time
As the dream, of which a fatigue sailor has retained
Is listening to the starlight’s murmuring and palpitating
The terror and screaming of sinking vessel are subsidizing
The grand curtain, that the light and the dark are striking violently, has been called.
The dreams and affection which I had dissolved starkly into lake
All of despair and of sorrow have been buried by the mud in lake
How many clamors has every sinking vessel carried in mortal world?
Every departing song won’t end countless sadness in mortal world

Those souls who have disentangled the shell in cabin
Wore nothing without shyness for each other
Who dance elaborately in golden ripples
The freedom and brave in abyss are transparent
The souls who are full of affection and of passion duplicate rapidly
To wave the arms of freedom in the vast of great lake
At that time the survivors had long passed away
Those victims are prayed for bearing in mind by the posterity
The heroic that they travel in lakes and seas
A gasp that they wrestle with frightful billows and terrible waves
And the last moment of call in heart -wrenching “I love you “
Are inscribed forever in the depth of memory in a vast of lake

The goddess, the light of dawn, kisses the world of mortals
A red sun spurts out in the east of grand lake
The sanguine lake light, that strides life and death,
Incarnadines how much impermanent bitterness and happiness are in the world
In the wind of lake, “the dawn” is resounding clearly far away
In the music of flute, the clouds are floating above the vast of Lake Huron
The grand lake with green water and blue sky has a vast of bosom
As the wind of lake passes, the waves enfold waves

The distance from life to death is transient actually
Only does the intrepid passion have permanent legend
Life and death sometimes are in a glimpse of consideration
To be alive is a hero, to be dead is an elf
But in the dimensions of time and space, the heroes have never been retained
The divinities have never taken consideration of success or of failure
The heroes in sunken ship enfolds intrepidness and solemn tragic
Who are remaining alive in the posteriors’ inner hearts forever

The maples and the birches by the lake are still changing colors as the seasons go
The sound of waves is still tugging at people’s heartstrings
The huge rock by the lake has been smashed by the lake waves
People on the lakeshore still have the reminiscence at their bosom
Who can penetrate the clear lake water?
Who can transcend the ups and downs of life , of death, of success and of failure?
To proceed smoothly without a hitch is simply a kind-hearted pray
The sunk ship by the side of lake demonstrates the tragic of intrepidity and of compassion
The indigenous, originated in the orient, live towards the death
Who sing and dance merrily by the lakeside in the Day of the Dead
To greet the numerous tragic souls lost in sunken ship of Lake Huron
With cheerful drum and long flute

Lake Huron, with an area of 59,600 square kilometers, ranks second among the five Great Lakes. The lake is 177 meters above sea level. The average water depth is 60 meters and the maximum depth is 229 meters. The lakeshore line is 2,700 kilometers long.
In the heart of North America, there is a water transportation system of lakes and rivers: the five Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence River, 3,700 kilometers, called the waterway, directly to the commercial, industrial and agricultural centers of North America. This maritime link between Canada and the United States is an important hub for North American transportation networks. For hundreds of years, due to the huge surface of the Great Lake and the high winds and waves, thousands of ships have sunk into the bottom of Great Lakes. There are more than 1,500 lakes in Lake Huron and 36 huge ships. There are countless sad and thrilling touching stories.
