作者簡介
徐英才，原復(fù)旦大學(xué)英語教師，現(xiàn)在美國德寶大學(xué)工作，主講過語言、文學(xué)、藝術(shù)、哲學(xué)等在內(nèi)的諸多科目。在翻譯方面，他早年以英譯漢為主，現(xiàn)以漢譯英為主，已經(jīng)出版多部部漢英譯著，包括典籍和詩歌翻譯。他的翻譯原則是“準(zhǔn)確、傳神、渾然”，追求被中英雙語人士贊許的高品質(zhì)譯文。此外，他還是一個(gè)詩歌詩詞愛好者，喜歡新舊和英語詩。他現(xiàn)任華語詩學(xué)會(huì)會(huì)長，漢英雙語紙質(zhì)詩刊《詩殿堂》總編。

2. Saying Goodbye to Meng Haoran
Li Bai
Bowing the West Yellow-Crane tower goodbye,
In willow-lavish March, to Yangzhou my friend goes.
His solo sail fades far into the blue sky,
Where I only see the Yangtze water flows.
3. 長相思
李白
美人在時(shí)花滿堂，
美人去后花馀床。
床中繡被卷不寢，

香亦竟不滅，
人亦竟不來。
相思黃葉落，
白露濕青苔。
3. A Longing for the Beloved
Li Bai
Your presence vivifies the bloom-filled hall;
Your absence leaves the bed to blooms in thrall.
The quilts ornate are rolled and are idle;
Three years gone, your fragrances still spiral.
The fragrances still present;
The beauty yet still absent.
My lovesickness hangs while leaves fall;
Autumn dews wet green moss in all.

梳洗罷，
獨(dú)倚望江樓。
過盡千帆皆不是，
斜暉脈脈水悠悠。
腸斷白蘋洲。
4. Spruced Up
Wen Tingjun
Spruced up,
Alone I lean on the river-tower rails,
But none is his among the thousand passing sails.
The water ripples and the sunlight slants.
This Baiping foreland is where my heart ails.
5. 叵耐靈鵲多謾語
佚名
叵耐靈鵲多謾語。
送喜何曾有憑據(jù)？
幾度飛來活捉取。
鎖上金籠休共語。
比擬好心來送喜。
誰知鎖我在金籠里。
欲他征夫早歸來。
騰身卻放我向青云里。
5. Bored with the Magpie’s Repeated Chatter
(Anonymous)
Bored with the magpie’s repeated chatter,
That touches on no important matter.
I capture it when it flies to my house,
And lock it in a cage to shut its mouth.
With good intent I bring you a good message,
But who expects you to lock me in the cage?
I wish her recruited man would return soon,
So she will release me to the sky free from bondage.
6. 無言獨(dú)上西樓
李煜
無言獨(dú)上西樓，
月如鉤。
寂寞梧桐深院鎖清秋。
剪不斷，
理還亂，
是離愁。
別是一般滋味在心頭。
6. I Ascend the West Tower, Reticent
Li Yu
I ascend the west tower,
reticent,
The moon is a crescent.
Autumn locks the lone plane in the deep yard with gloom omnipresent.
What’s unbreakable,
What’s unravel-able,
Is the sorrow knot of exile.
It wreathes my heart with a writhing feeling indescribable.
7. 花褪殘紅青杏小
蘇軾
花褪殘紅青杏小。
燕子飛時(shí)，
綠水人家繞。
枝上柳綿吹又少，
天涯何處無芳草！
墻里秋千墻外道。
墻外行人，
墻里佳人笑。
笑漸不聞聲漸悄，
多情卻被無情惱。
7. Waning Flowers
Su Shi
Waning flowers linger in waning red, green apricots still small.
Swallows darting over,
A green stream encircles a yard wall.
In the wind, catkins on the willow twigs are turning thin,
Here and there, fragrant grass will burgeon in no time at all.
A walking path runs outside the walls, within the walls swings a swing.
A passerby outside,
Hears the laughter from the beauty inside.
But soon the laughter is gone and everything quiets down,
The feelings, once attached, are annoyingly detached now.
8. 尋尋覓覓
李清照
尋尋覓覓，
冷冷清清，
凄凄慘慘戚戚。
乍暖還寒時(shí)候，
最難將息。
三杯兩盞淡酒，
怎敵他晚來風(fēng)急！
雁過也，
正傷心，
卻是舊時(shí)相識(shí)。
滿地黃花堆積，
憔悴損，
如今有誰堪摘？
守著窗兒獨(dú)自，
怎生得黑！
梧桐更兼細(xì)雨，
到黃昏點(diǎn)點(diǎn)滴滴。
這次第，
怎一個(gè)愁字了得！
8. Wandering Here and There, Vacant-Hearted
Li Qingzhao
Wandering here and there, vacant-hearted,
In a house so cheerless, so lifeless,
I feel so dejected, so depressed, and so downhearted.
And the bickering season between the warmth and coldness
Is the most dickering time to pass.
How can two or three cups of insipid wine
Subdue the evening wind’s whine!
While I grieve over you,
Over in the sky some geese fly,
Which were my past messengers to you.
On the ground, golden asters lie heaped,
Wan and withered,
For nowadays no one comes to pick the flowers.
Alone, I can only accompany the window,
Watching time toward darkness edging slow.
Outside, from the plane tree in the rain,
Water-drops, at dusk, begin to drip and dribble.
This scene
Is worse than the word “dismal.”
9. 哭趙伯先
柳亞子
尋常巷陌奈君何,
忍唱尊前青兕歌。
海島田橫心自壯,
天門陶侃翼空摩。
千秋北府兵無敵,
一水南徐夜有波。
何日黃龍奠杯酒,
髑瞵飲器發(fā)橫拖。
9. Mourning for Zhao Boxian
Liu Yazi
A street unknown conceals no man well-known,
Before your statue, I sing the song Rhino,
Firm as Tianheng who’d rather die than yield,
Brave as Taokan who broke the last sky-shield.
The ancient north-force never met its match,
Till one night the river’s crashing waves crashed.
When comes the yellow dragon offer day,
Its skull a cup, hair will be tugged sideways.
10. 婁山關(guān)
毛澤東
西風(fēng)烈，
長空雁叫霜晨月。
霜晨月，
馬蹄聲碎，
喇叭聲咽。
雄關(guān)漫道真如鐵，
而今邁步從頭越。
從頭越，
蒼山如海，
殘陽如血。
10. The Loushan Pass
Mao Zedong
The west winds whistle;
In the wide sky, wild geese honk, to the frosty morning moon.
To the frosty morning moon,
The horse hoofs clatter,
And the bugles howl.
Who said the pass is iron-might?
We’ve just gained it to start a new stride.
To start a new stride,
We face a sea of mountains,
And the blood-red twilight.
