前言：
親愛(ài)的大朋友、小朋友:
你們好！中英文繪本故事專欄，我們特邀華裔藝術(shù)家蘇玉蓉老師主講。蘇老師不僅有著扎實(shí)的舞臺(tái)表演和話筒前的豐富經(jīng)驗(yàn)和實(shí)力，而且也有海外公立學(xué)校幼教經(jīng)驗(yàn)，是一位資深的幼兒教師。一年來(lái)在我臺(tái)朗誦了近百篇文學(xué)作品、兒童作品，皆受好評(píng)。尤其是《呆家長(zhǎng)與熊孩子》公眾平臺(tái)開(kāi)播以來(lái)，蘇姐姐講故事專欄受到廣泛好評(píng)。蘇老師是國(guó)內(nèi)難得的表演藝術(shù)家，更是我臺(tái)優(yōu)秀的金牌主播！

叢林中，一個(gè)靜謐優(yōu)美的夜晚，三只小貓頭鷹從樹洞里醒來(lái)了，卻發(fā)現(xiàn)媽媽外出覓食還沒(méi)回來(lái)。
Once there were three baby owls:
? 有一次，有三個(gè)小貓頭鷹寶寶：
Sarah and Percy and Bill.
他們的名字叫Sarah、Percy和Bill。
They lived in a hole in the trunk of a tree with their owl mother.
他們和他們的媽媽一起住在一棵很大的大樹洞里面。
The hole had twigs and leaves and owl feathers in it.
這個(gè)大樹的大樹洞里那有一些小樹藤子、樹葉子和羽毛。
It was their house.
這就是他們的家。
One night they woke up and their Owl Mother was GONE.
有一天夜里，這三個(gè)小寶寶醒過(guò)來(lái)的時(shí)候，不見(jiàn)了媽媽。
"Where's Mommy?" asked Sarah.
Sarah就說(shuō)：“媽媽去哪了？
"Oh my goodness!" said Percy.
Percy說(shuō)：“哎喲，我的天??！”
"I want my mummy!" said Bill.
小Bill就說(shuō)：“我要我媽媽！”
The baby owls thought (all owls think a lot )-
這些貓頭鷹寶寶他們想了好多好多（所有的貓頭鷹都喜歡想象）——
"I think she's gone hunting," said Sarah.
Sarah說(shuō)：“我想她肯定是去打獵了?！?/p>
"To get us our food!" said Percy.
Percy說(shuō)：“我想她是去給我們找食物了！”
"I want my mummy!" said Bill.
小的Bill就說(shuō)：“我想要媽媽！”
But their Owl Mother didn’t come.
但是貓頭鷹媽媽沒(méi)有回來(lái)。
The baby owls came out of their house and they sat on the tree and waited.
這三個(gè)小貓頭鷹寶寶他們從他們的房子里面走出來(lái)了，坐在一個(gè)大的樹枝上等媽媽。
A big branch for Sarah,a small branch for Percy,and an old piece of ivy for Bill.
Sarah坐在一個(gè)大的樹枝上，Percy坐在一個(gè)小的的樹枝上，Bill坐在一個(gè)老的樹藤上面。
"She'll be back," saidSarah.
Sarah就說(shuō)：“她會(huì)回來(lái)的?！?/p>
"Back soon!" said Percy.
Percy說(shuō)：“對(duì)，她很快就會(huì)回來(lái)！”
"I want my mummy!" said Bill.
最小的那個(gè)Bil說(shuō)：“我要我媽媽！”。
It was dark in the wood and they have to be brave,for things moved all around them.
在森林里漆黑的夜晚，他們?nèi)齻€(gè)必須要非常勇敢來(lái)面對(duì)他們周圍所發(fā)生的一切。
"She’ll bring us mice and things that are nice." said Sarah.
Sarah說(shuō)：“她會(huì)給我們帶回老鼠那真是太棒了！”。
"I suppose so!" said Percy.
Percy就說(shuō)：“我也是這么想的！”。
"I want my mummy!" said Bill.
小Bill說(shuō)“我要我媽媽！”。
They sat and they thought(all owls think a lot)-
他們坐在那兒想（所有的貓頭鷹都喜歡想象）—
"I think we should all sit on my branch." said Sarah.
Sarah說(shuō)：“我覺(jué)得我們?nèi)齻€(gè)應(yīng)該坐到一起大家都到我的樹枝上來(lái)坐吧?！?。
And they did, all three together.
于是，他們?nèi)齻€(gè)都坐到一起了。
"Suppose she got lost." said Sarah.
Sarah說(shuō)：“也許媽媽走丟了，她迷路了?！薄?/p>
"Or a fox got her!" said Percy.
Percy說(shuō)：“也許狐貍抓把她叼走了！”。
"I want my mummy!" said Bill.
最小的那個(gè)Bill說(shuō)：“我要我媽媽！”。
And the baby owls closed their owl eyes and wished their Owl Mother would come.
三個(gè)貓頭鷹寶寶閉上了眼睛好像是做祈禱，希望他們的媽媽快點(diǎn)回來(lái)。
AND SHE CAME.
哎呀她真的回來(lái)了。
Soft and silent, she swooped through the trees to Sarah and Percy and Bill.
她不聲不響俯沖穿過(guò)樹林，來(lái)到孩子們的身邊。
"Mummy!" they cried.他們?nèi)齻€(gè)見(jiàn)到媽媽的時(shí)候一口同聲“媽媽！”。
and they flapped and they danced,and they bounced up and down on their branch.
他們高興壞了撲打著翅膀在樹枝上跳呀跳呀，好像是在跳舞蹈。
"WHAT’S ALL THE FUSS?" their Owl Mother asked.
媽媽看到他們這個(gè)情況就覺(jué)得很奇怪，就說(shuō)：“哎，這是怎么回事呀？”。
"You knew I’d come back."
“你們知道的我會(huì)回來(lái)的。”
The baby owls thought(all owls think a lot)-
貓頭鷹寶寶們想了很多很多他們想了想（所有的貓頭鷹都喜歡想象）—
"I knew it." said Sarah.
Sarah說(shuō)“我早就知道媽媽會(huì)回來(lái)！”。
"And I knew it!" said Percy.
Percy說(shuō)“我也早知道媽媽會(huì)回來(lái)！”。
"I love my mummy!" said Bill.
最小的那個(gè)Bill說(shuō)：“我愛(ài)我媽媽！”。
