With the plough at hand once again
The Third Aunt’s laughter passed palpably across the mountains
She asked my mother, “Are the seeds ready?”
Mother nodded
The warm sun of spring had already blossomed

People open their throats to cheer
Sowing with the farm tools at hand
As if wiping the sweat off father’s forehead
Filled with daydreaming day by day
I was measuring the wind in the upcoming autumn

The little white dog wagged his tail
With Reed Feather Chicken’s gaze lingering on the puppy
A spring flower had opened its eyes.
The kitten looked at the alley outside the window
Spring is like baking dough, swelling and expanding

Express Train on A Chinese Valentine’s Day

Right at noon in the middle of the summer
The passing of an express train further disturbed
My taste of coffee, making it even sadder
Cracking future and light into a mess

I were a leaf outside the train windows
Might be nothing in your mind
The unexpected high speed reminded me
The post of youth had just passed

Instinctively I started to look around
Oh! you were there on your tiptoes waving
My dream emerged again

巨大的事物

白云底下，道路與村莊那么微小
三萬(wàn)尺高的舷窗后，我發(fā)現(xiàn)
丈量巨大的事物，需要攀升至一定高度

這使得我，走在村莊之間的道路上
總被路邊低矮的野草叢吸引，想
像一只蟻一樣鉆進(jìn)去
在高大寬敞的縫隙間奔跑

The Giant Things by Shuang Yi

Under the clouds, the roads and villages are so small.
When I look at them from thirty thousand feet above,
behind the airplane window, I realize
in order to measure giant thing
you need to climb up to a certain altitude.

This makes me attracted to the lowly wild grass
on the side of the road between villages.
Each time I walk along,
I wish to dive into them like a small ant
and run between the gaps of their huge branches.

With my deepest missing heart
My mother reappears before my soul
