親愛(ài)的大朋友、小朋友:

A mother bird sat on her egg.
一只鳥(niǎo)媽媽坐在鳥(niǎo)巢里孵蛋。
The egg jumped. "Oh oh!" said the mother bird. "My baby will be here! He will want to eat."
蛋跳了起來(lái)?！芭杜叮 薄！拔业膶殞殞⒁鰜?lái)了！他需要吃的?！?/span>
"I must get something for baby bird to eat!" she said. :I will be back!"
So away she went.
“我得給小鳥(niǎo)弄點(diǎn)吃的東西去！”她說(shuō)。：我會(huì)回來(lái)的！”于是她飛走了。
The egg jumped. It jumped, and jumped, and jumped! Out came the baby bird!
蛋跳了起來(lái)。它跳啊跳啊跳?。⌒▲B(niǎo)出來(lái)了！
"Where is my mother?" he said. He looked for her.
“我媽媽呢？”他說(shuō)。他找媽媽。
He looked up. He did not see her. He looked down. He did not see her.
他抬起頭來(lái)。他沒(méi)有看到媽媽。他往下看。他沒(méi)有看到媽媽。
"I will go and look for her," he said. So away he went.
“我會(huì)去找她，”他說(shuō)。于是他去找媽媽了。
Down, out of the tree he went. Down, down, down! It was a long way down.
下來(lái)，他從樹(shù)上走了下來(lái)。下來(lái)，下來(lái)，下來(lái)！對(duì)他來(lái)說(shuō)這是一段很長(zhǎng)的路要走。
The baby bird could not fly. he could not fly, but he could walk. "Now I will go and find my mother," he said.
小鳥(niǎo)不能飛。他不會(huì)飛，但他會(huì)走路?！艾F(xiàn)在我要去找我媽媽了，”他說(shuō)。
He did not know what his mother looked like. He went right by her. He did not see her.
他不知道他媽媽長(zhǎng)什么樣。他從她身邊走過(guò)。他沒(méi)有看到她。
He came to a Kitten. "Are you my mother?" he said to the kitten.
The kitten just looked and looked. It did not say a thing.
他來(lái)到一只小貓身邊?！澳闶俏覌寢寙幔俊彼麑?duì)小貓說(shuō)。小貓只是看了又看。它什么也沒(méi)說(shuō)。
The kitten was not his mother, so he went on.
Then he came to a hen. "Are you my mother?" he said to the hen. "No," said the hen.
小貓不是他的媽媽?zhuān)运^續(xù)走。
然后他來(lái)到一只母雞身邊?！澳闶俏覌寢寙?？”他對(duì)母雞說(shuō)?！安唬蹦鸽u說(shuō)。
The kitten was not his mother. The hen was not his mother. So the baby bird went on.
"I have to find my mother!" he said. "but where? Where is she? Where could she be?"
小貓不是他的媽媽。母雞不是他的媽媽。于是小鳥(niǎo)繼續(xù)前進(jìn)。
“我要找到我媽媽?zhuān) 彼f(shuō)?！暗窃谀睦?？她在哪里？她會(huì)在哪兒？”
Then he came to a dog. "Are you my mother?" he said to the dog.
"I am not your mother. I am a dog," said the dog.
然后他來(lái)到了一條狗身邊?！澳闶俏覌寢寙?？”他對(duì)狗說(shuō)。
“我不是你媽媽。我是一條狗，”狗說(shuō)。
The kitten was not his mother. The hen was not his mother. The dog was not his mother.
So the baby bird went on. Now he came to a cow.
小貓不是他的媽媽。母雞不是他的媽媽。那條狗不是他的媽媽。
于是小鳥(niǎo)繼續(xù)前行?，F(xiàn)在他來(lái)到了一頭牛身邊。
"Are you my mother?" he said to the cow. "How could I be your mother?" said the cow. "I am a cow."
“你是我媽媽嗎？”他對(duì)牛說(shuō)。“我怎么可能是你媽媽?zhuān)俊迸Ｕf(shuō)?！拔沂且活^牛?！?/span>
The kitten and the hen were not his mother. The dog and the cow were not his mother. Did he have a mother?
小貓和母雞不是他的媽媽。狗和牛不是他的媽媽。他有媽媽嗎？
"I did have a mother," said the baby bird. "I know I did. I have to find her. I will. I WILL!"
“我確實(shí)有媽媽?zhuān)毙▲B(niǎo)說(shuō)。“我知道我有媽媽。我必須找到她。我會(huì)的。我會(huì)找到媽媽的！”
Now the baby bird did not walk. He ran! Then he saw a car. Could that old thing be his mother? No, it could not.
The baby bird did not stop. He ran on and on.
現(xiàn)在小鳥(niǎo)不走路了。他跑起來(lái)了！然后他看到了一輛車(chē)。那個(gè)大家伙會(huì)是他媽媽?zhuān)坎唬豢赡苁恰?/p>
小鳥(niǎo)沒(méi)有停下來(lái)。他不停地跑。
Now he looked way, way down. He saw a boat. "There she is!" said the baby bird.
He called to the boat, but the boat did not stop. The boat went on.
現(xiàn)在他向下看。他看到了一艘船?！八谀抢铮 毙▲B(niǎo)說(shuō)。
他叫了船，但船并沒(méi)有停下。船繼續(xù)前行。
He looked way, way up. He saw a big plane. "Here I am, Mother," he called out.
But the plane did not stop, the plane went on.
他朝上看，他看到了一架大飛機(jī)?！拔以谶@兒，媽媽?zhuān)彼暗馈?/p>
但飛機(jī)并沒(méi)有停下，而是繼續(xù)前行。
Just then, the baby bird saw a big thing. This must be his mother! "There she is !" he said. "There is my mother!"
就在這時(shí)，小鳥(niǎo)看到了一個(gè)大東西。這一定是他的媽媽?zhuān) 八谶@里 ！”他說(shuō)?！拔覌寢屧谶@兒！”
He ran right up to it. "Mother, Mother! Here I am, Mother!" he said to the big thing.
他直接跑過(guò)去?！皨寢?zhuān)瑡寢專(zhuān)∥襾?lái)了，媽媽?zhuān) 彼麑?duì)著大東西說(shuō)。
But the big thing just said, "Snort."
"Oh you are not my mother," said the baby bird. "You are a Snort. I have to get out of here!"
但是這大家伙只是說(shuō)，“哼”。
“哦，你不是我媽媽?zhuān)毙▲B(niǎo)說(shuō)?！澳闶莻€(gè)轟轟作響的挖土機(jī)，我必須離開(kāi)這里！”
But the baby bird could not get away. The Snort went up.
It went way, way up. And up, up, up went the baby bird.
但是小鳥(niǎo)卻逃不掉。挖土機(jī)上升了。
一直向上，一直向上。向上，向上，向上，小鳥(niǎo)被升上去了。
But now, where was the snort going? "Oh, oh, oh! What is this Snort going to me? Get me out of here!"
但是現(xiàn)在，挖土機(jī)要去哪里？“哦，哦，哦！這個(gè)大燥音要對(duì)我做什么？讓我離開(kāi)這里！”
Just then, the Snort came to a stop.
就在這時(shí)，挖土機(jī)停了下來(lái)。
"Where I am?" said the baby bird. "I want to go home! I want my mother!"
“我在哪里？”小鳥(niǎo)說(shuō)。“我要回家！我要我媽媽?zhuān) ?/span>
Then something happened. The Snort put that baby bird right back in the tree. The baby bird was home!
然后發(fā)生了一件事情。挖土機(jī)將小鳥(niǎo)放回樹(shù)上。小鳥(niǎo)回家了！
Just then the mother bird came back to the tree. "Do you know who I am?" she said to her baby.
就在這時(shí)，鳥(niǎo)媽媽回到了樹(shù)上。“你知道我是誰(shuí)嗎？” 她對(duì)她的孩子說(shuō)。
"Yes, I know who you are," said the baby bird.
“You are not a kitten.”
“You are not a Hen. ”
“You are not a dog.”
“ You are not a cow.”
“You are not a boat, or a plane, or a Snort!"
" You are a bird.And you are my mother.
“是的，我知道你是誰(shuí)，”小鳥(niǎo)說(shuō)。
“你不是小貓”。
“你不是母雞?！?/p>
”你不是一條狗。"
"你不是一頭牛。"
"你不是船，你不是飛機(jī)，也不是轟轟作響的挖土機(jī)！”
“你是一只鳥(niǎo)，你是我媽媽。”
