Is it sunshine in high-noon
Is it blood flowing in artery
Oh, it is Amaryllis' bloom
In springtime's glory
Without leaves green
On the stem high
The fire red is to meet
Shepherd Alteo's eyes
Amaryllis maiden pretty
Falls in love with Alteo
Who's eyes are only for flower lily
But Amaryllis figures out what to show
With an arrow of gold
She pierces her heart there
The drops of blood unfold
Transform into red red flower
The flower blooms in pure red
Amaryllis it is called
Alteo's head over heels and in the end
