2025年7月27日,少林寺管理處發(fā)布通報稱:少林寺住持釋永信涉嫌刑事犯罪,挪用侵占項目資金寺院資產(chǎn);嚴重違反佛教戒律,長期與多名女性保持不正當關系并育有私生子。接受多部門聯(lián)合調(diào)查。
7月28日,中國佛教協(xié)會發(fā)布公告,我會收到河南省佛教協(xié)會報來《關于注銷釋永信戒牒的報告》。根據(jù)有關規(guī)定,中國佛教協(xié)會同意對釋永信的戒牒予以注銷。
7月29日,少林寺管理處發(fā)布情況通報,印樂法師任少林寺住持,少林寺運行一切正常,釋永信相關問題正在進一步深入調(diào)查,結(jié)果將及時向社會公布。
7月30日,中國佛教協(xié)會副會長釋永信的信息已從官網(wǎng)撤下。
8月7日,中國佛教協(xié)會網(wǎng)站發(fā)布文章《堅持以戒為師 推動我國佛教健康傳承》釋永信涉嫌刑事犯罪,嚴重違犯佛教戒律,正在接受多部門聯(lián)合調(diào)查的消息,一經(jīng)發(fā)布,輿論一片嘩然。釋永信不僅可能面臨國家法律的嚴厲制裁,而且按照佛教因果報應的規(guī)律還將承受嚴重的果報。他的所作所為,不僅葬送了個人的法身慧命,而且敗壞了佛教教風,侵蝕了佛教健康肌體,破壞了出家人的社會形象,給佛教的健康傳承造成嚴重負面影響。
8月19日,中國佛教協(xié)會再表態(tài)《沒有法外之人,勿越法律“紅線”》文章指出,釋永信給全國佛教界抹了黑。佛教教職人員,特別是佛教界代表人士,應當切實增強法治觀念,時時繃緊守法遵規(guī)這根弦,絕不能觸碰甚至逾越法律“紅線”。佛教戒律規(guī)定受戒者不做國賊、不謗國主、不漏國稅、不犯國制。
業(yè)林:一種比喻或象征性的說法,用于形容僧眾或信徒們因共同的信仰和修行而聚集在一起,如同樹木叢集為林一樣。僧俗和合、住于一處所形成的修行共同體或精神家園。它強調(diào)了佛教徒之間的團結(jié)、和諧以及共同追求解脫和覺悟的精神。

The hustle and bustle of the market has destroyed the forest of the Dharma.
Beautiful women on his arm enter his residence,
Illegitimate children play in the shade of flowers around his knees.
He invests in a three - storey villa overseas,
Embezzling billions of public funds.
His precept certificate is cancelled, and Yinle is welcomed.
Combining farming and meditation, he keeps the original aspiration.

On July 27, 2025, the Management Office of the Shaolin Temple issued a notification stating that Shi Yongxin, the abbot of the Shaolin Temple, was suspected of criminal offenses, embezzling and misappropriating project funds and temple assets; he seriously violated Buddhist precepts, maintaining improper relationships with multiple women for a long time and having illegitimate children. He is under a joint investigation by multiple departments.
On July 28, the China Buddhist Association issued a public announcement that it had received a report from the Henan Provincial Buddhist Association titled "Report on Canceling Shi Yongxin's Precept Certificate". According to relevant regulations, the China Buddhist Association agreed to cancel Shi Yongxin's precept certificate.
On July 29, the Management Office of the Shaolin Temple issued a situation report that Master Yinle was appointed as the abbot of the Shaolin Temple, and the operation of the Shaolin Temple was normal. The relevant issues of Shi Yongxin were being further investigated in depth, and the results would be promptly announced to the public.
On July 30, the information of Shi Yongxin, the vice - president of the China Buddhist Association, was removed from the official website.
On August 7, the website of the China Buddhist Association published an article titled "Adhere to the Precepts as the Teacher and Promote the Healthy Inheritance of Buddhism in China". The news that Shi Yongxin was suspected of criminal offenses and seriously violated Buddhist precepts and was under a joint investigation by multiple departments caused an uproar in public opinion. Shi Yongxin may not only face severe legal sanctions from the state, but also bear serious karmic retribution according to the law of cause and effect in Buddhism. His actions have not only葬送了個人的法身慧命, but also corrupted the Buddhist style, eroded the healthy body of Buddhism, damaged the social image of monks, and caused serious negative impacts on the healthy inheritance of Buddhism.
On August 19, the China Buddhist Association stated again in the article "There Are No People Above the Law, Do Not Cross the Legal 'Red Line'" that Shi Yongxin has disgraced the national Buddhist community. Buddhist clergy, especially representative figures in the Buddhist community, should effectively enhance their awareness of the rule of law, always tighten the string of abiding by laws and regulations, and never touch or even cross the legal "red line". Buddhist precepts stipulate that those who receive precepts should not be traitors to the country, slander the king, evade national taxes, or violate national regulations.
Yelin: A metaphorical or symbolic term used to describe monks or believers gathering together due to their common belief and practice, just as trees cluster together to form a forest. It emphasizes the unity, harmony, and the common pursuit of liberation and enlightenment among Buddhists.
Yinle: Master Yinle, formerly the abbot of the White Horse Temple.
Original Aspiration: ① The temple should only have the smell of incense, staying away from the smell of money. ② The lives of monks revolve around farming, meditation, chanting sutras, and wearing vegetarian clothes and simple clothes. ③ Strictly abide by Buddhist precepts.
