夢中想念心千結(jié)。有誰知？海角天涯渴！
河邊柳林幽處，浪拍岸、淡云遮月。
相見時難，離別更難，自古天設(shè)。
即使有，萬語千言，又對誰能曰。
The Autumn Rain in the Forest

The autumn wind is bitterly cold.
Facing the river, I seek shelter,
So the drizzle slightly subsides.
Years of schoolmates from north and south,
tonight fate decrees with time’s vicissitudes and silver hair.
I fall into a dream where we gaze and drink together with tearful eyes,
old feelings intensely recalled.
The reality is that I have no news from you for years,
How can the lotus roots break without the threads entwined!
In dreams, thoughts are tied in thousands of knots.
Who knows this longing? so far apart, at the ends of the earth!
By the river’s edge, in the secluded willow grove,
waves crash against the shore,
light clouds obscure the moon.
Meeting is hard, parting is harder,
This is an ancient fate decreed by heaven.
Even if there are thousands of words, to whom can they be spoken now.
