Here, you can watch ships sailing in from the horizon.

Here, you can witness the grandeur of thousands of birds gathering in flocks,

Here, you can see sprawling herds of sheep and geese soaring across the sky,

Here, you can hear the ceaseless day-and-night hum of thousands of oil pumps,

Here, you can experience the joy of crabbing and shell-gathering along the seawall.

Come to Dongying—

Dear friend,

Here lies the hometown of the military sage Sun Wu,

Here, vast forests of locust trees form a natural oxygen bar,

Here, the Educated Youth Town echoes with the spirit of youthful years,

Here, the solitary East Sea Dyke crashes with roaring waves.

Here, four distinct seasons unfold,

Each with its own unique depth and charm.

Spring here is radiant,

Summer here is most enchanting,

Autumn here is a great granary of abundant grains,

Winter here embraces all the openness and stillness.

Here, the Yellow River charges into the sea with mighty force,

Here, the clear divide between yellow and blue waters creates a marvel,

Here, vast fields of grain bring the joy of sowing and reaping,

Here, the sky glows crimson when the sorghum reddens,

Here, both planting and harvesting resonate with the rumble of machinery.

Here, there are no towering mountains,

Only endless waters flowing long.

Here, no skyscrapers crowd the sky,

Only boundless openness and vibrant life thrive.

This is no longer a distant land—

You may arrive at any time,

Just as I,

Shaking off the dust of journey,

Like a weary bird,

Have returned to my place of rest.

In the wild fields where reed catkins drift,

Along the ancient course of the Yellow River,

In the snow-blanketed farmlands,

Amid the blooming sea of dogbane flowers,

On the bird islands where feathered creatures dwell,

In the paddy fields where colorful rice paints the land—

Come, embark on a bird-watching journey,

Come, see the wetland's "red carpet" spectacle,

Come, behold the majestic sunrise,
