（一）我們能不能好好相處

不能。如果我們的眼睛
仍患著嚴(yán)重的色盲
只知迷戀
自己皮膚的蒼白
不能。如果我們的耳膜
仍被偏見蒙成一面定音鼓
只對特定的頻率
空空應(yīng)響
不能。如果我們的臉仍忽陰忽陽
一秒鐘前還在那里繁花盛開同人家說笑
一轉(zhuǎn)頭卻肅殺冰冷
把一個陌生人的問訊凍僵在半空中
不能。如果我們在本來已夠狹窄的心里
繼續(xù)豢養(yǎng)嫉恨
張牙舞爪
隨時(shí)準(zhǔn)備現(xiàn)出獸形

CAN WE ALL GET ALONG?

we can’t
if we continue
to be blinded by colors
loving only our own
pallid skins
no
we can’t
if our eardrums
are still muffled by biases
echoing only distorted
hollow sounds
no
we can’t
if our faces remain
unpredictable as the weather ---
one minute there’s laughter blooming among friends
the next minute a wintry stare freezes up
a stranger’s smile
no
we can’t
if we keep breeding hatred
in our narrow minds
showing fangs and flourishing claws
the wild beasts are ever ready to pounce

竟視若無睹不知走避
如受催眠
而你只不過
張嘴打了個哈欠
伸一下懶腰
在鐵柵欄里

作者簡介：非馬，現(xiàn)居芝加哥。曾出版23本中英文詩集；3本散文集；7本譯詩集（包括《讓盛宴開始——我喜愛的英文詩》、法國詩人《裴外的詩》、土耳其詩人?？嗣诽氐摹惰F籠里的獅子》等）。另外還編選了幾本中國大陸及臺灣現(xiàn)代詩選。他的詩被譯成十多種語言，并被收入臺灣、大陸、英國及德國等地的教科書。曾任伊利諾州詩人協(xié)會會長。
